LAURA SISSON'S CAMP STORY:

I cannot calculate the number of times I have walked this trail at the Pool Camp. It calls to me, often, when I am hurried or weary to stop and remember.  And I do remember vesper services: music to quiet us as we walk and to call us to worship,  quiet of voice except the voice of God,  beautiful and simple ways the daily theme and scripture are interpreted through dialogue or drama or song, by campers and counselors, where gifts are discovered and celebrated prayerfully, and of course the laughter and song coming across creek from elementary camp reminding us that we are all seeking time apart from daily ‘stuff’ - time IN community of faith – and time to restore a discipline of prayer, discernment, and worship.  I would love to hear your stories of vesper trail and vespers!
